Devildog Softball: Looking for the Ring

As spring is quickly approaching, sports are back into full swing. The 2019-2020 Devildog Softball team is back and eager for a winning season. Last year, the team won the District Championship and made it to the second round of playoffs. This year, the team will consist of both a JV and Varsity team, led by coaches, Erin Keen and Erika McCarson. All athletes from the previous softball season will be returning, as there were no seniors last year. Seniors on the team this year are Karah Parker, Hannah Bruce, Hannah Anders, Zoie Hughes, and Ashlee Arden. This year’s softball team is a very close knit team due to all playing together the previous season. All of the girls are in it for the game goal: winning. The Devildogs will be playing Blue Ridge, Berea, Greenville, Eastside, and many more teams around the Upsate. One of the most important games this year for the Devildogs is against Blue Ridge. Last season, the team lost to Blue Ridge in a post-season playoff game. The team is looking for revenge against Blue Ridge to become Region Champions this year. This year’s team is expected to go farther than last season and is looking towards the 4A State Championship.
