Clothing selection from Downtown Diva’s

Look out.

There’s a new addition to Main Street.  Across from The Whistle Stop is the clothing boutique, Downtown Divas. Located at 128 South Main Street, you can find new and edgy clothes for this back-to-school year. The store’s clothing style ranges from frilly, bell sleeve dresses to black, embroidered mini skirts. There’s something for the punk rocker or the free spirit.

Loretta Grella is the proud owner of Downtown Divas. After purchasing a summer home in Greenville, Grella decided to bring her boutique to TR. This isn’t her first go around though; she owns two more Downtown Divas in Florida. In December, Loretta will sit down and decide if it’s worth staying in TR. If so, they plan to expand the top level of the boutique. So if you enjoy the store, stop by and tell them or shop with them more frequently.

When you walk into Downtown Divas you’ll see lots of artwork displayed around the shop, along with bold jewelry and put together outfits. This makes it easy to find, and buy, a whole outfit you love. The feel of the store is very hipster chic with velvet vests, delicate chokers and chunky sweaters. It will give you lots of inspiration for your next outfit. You’ll be able to easily pick out the season’s trends and be right up to date with what’s in Vogue or Elle Magazine.

Their selection constantly changes with brands like Free People, Hudson, and Wild Fox. So keep checking in to see what’s new and exciting to spice up your wardrobe or to just browse the racks. As said on their website, “We only bring home a limited number of each item in each size (S, M, L). In this way, we keep our store fresh with new items and fantastic new trends.”  Although changing the store selection is nice, it also means when something is gone, it’s gone.

Downtown Divas is the newest addition to Travelers Rest and maybe a permanent one, fingers crossed.
