Grace Church first opened its doors over 20 years ago in a home in Greenville, S.C. Since then, nine new locations have been added, including the new one at Travelers Rest High School.  “After years of driving close to thirty minutes to the Pelham location, it’s so nice to have one so close to home,” said freshman Elison Thieme.

Will Kabrich, the Travelers Rest student minister, explained, “Our mission is to make mature followers of Jesus Christ, while remaining one church with multiple locations.” For now, the church is not looking for a more permanent location, as the church is happy to be renting the building through the district. Kabrich says, “TR High is the perfect location for us to have a positive impact on the community and to spread our mission.”

Church services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. at Travelers Rest High School in the auditorium. Elementary student classes are held in the gym, while children in preschool and nursery classes meet in various classrooms.

Grace also plans to start their student ministry program in January. Middle and high school students are welcome to come out and meet new people in a fun and engaging environment.
