The Travelers Rest National Honor Society hosted their annual Fall Festival on Oct. 26 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. for kids sixth grade and below.

Members of NHS, along with the help of Beta Club, dressed up in friendly halloween costumes and ran fun games, including bean bag tosses and mini-golf for the kids. Each game was sponsored by a business in Travelers Rest. Using the money given by sponsors, the National Honor Society built and ran the booths.

The club handed out over 800 pounds of candy, all brought in by the students of Travelers Rest during the candy drive the week before. The event also featured activities like fishing for candy (which was run by the TR Anglers), face painting, and a costume contest. “The fall festival was great way to get the community together for a fun night” says junior, Carter Vickers.

After the conclusion of the night, members of NHS helped to clean the Commons and even received some candy for themselves, overall, the night was a huge success.
