America’s Team – America’s Champion?

The Dallas Cowboys have become a top contender this season. After ending the 2015 season with a 4-13 record, this season has jumped to an impressive 11-2 record. Shocking the League with young talent, the Cowboys have potential to go all the way.

Now with Romo as a backup, the new starting quarterback Dak Prescott looks to lead the Cowboys to a championship title. Since Prescott has arguably the strongest offensive line in the world, it should be easier for him to be one of the best QB’s in the league, and he has certainly achieved that. Prescott receives help from star rookie Ezekiel Elliot who leads the league in receiving yards as a running back. As the unstoppable offense continues to terrify defenses, four different running backs have rushed over 1000 yards, including Ezekiel Elliot, the leader of rushing yards in the NFL.

Avid Cowboys fan and junior at Travelers Rest, Shaun Forrester, says, “The only concern for us might be the Patriots in the Playoffs.” Since it was 1996 when the Cowboys last won the Super Bowl, they continue to prove to their fans that the losing is over this year. Forrester and the Cowboy nation have obtained a significant amount of confidence in their young, star-studded Dallas team.
