Ever since Chick-Fil-A’s announcement regarding an additional opening in Travelers Rest, many have not been able to contain their excitement. The new establishment is located across from the Wal-mart shopping center on Benton Road. Steven Bryant, operator of Chick-Fil-A at Cherrydale Point, is set to operate the Travelers Rest location. Mackenzie Bishop, an employee of Chick-Fil-A for three months now and TRHS junior, voiced her opinion on the opening of the new restaurant. “I think it will bring in more business because not everyone can drive all the way to the Cherrydale location,” Bishop said. The CFA franchise is notorious for constantly having lots of customers.

Chick-Fil-A takes pride in quality service and is expected to bring a lot to the community of TR. However, there may be some cons to the new restaurant. “It will definitely bring in more people and we’ll have a lot more traffic,” Bishop said. This brings up a valid point as a large crowd is anticipated  for the first few days after the grand opening and could produce a large volume of traffic. 

Regardless of any additional traffic it may bring, the expected Chick-Fil-A will be opening sometime in September, but the exact date has not yet been released.
