The skaters waiting to get on the ice at Ice on Main.

As the weather chills and the holiday season comes around, Ice on Main returns in a brisk. Located in the heart of downtown Greenville at the United Community Bank, the rink catches skaters’ attention from all over Greenville. The visitors channel their inner Rockefeller and lace up to skate their winter worries away.

The festive open air ice-skating rink will open on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. and will close at the beginning of the year on Friday, January 16, 2017 at 9:00 p.m.  This will be Ice on Main’s sixth season. Over the past five years the chilled attraction has brought over 70,000 skaters to downtown. The reasonable price makes the rink the perfect place to enjoy winter’s favorite traditions. Tickets are sold for $8 for children and $10 for adults, this price includes skate rentals.

Although, Ice on Main is not the only lively activity to do in downtown. With choices like a mouse scavenger hunt or a look at the historic sites, the whole family has the opportunity to have a great time in the urban city. These opportunities make for a great time in downtown Greenville. Next time you pass through downtown take a stop, skate a while, and then take a walk down Main Street; we will make sure you feel right at home.
