Fall for Greenville
On Oct. 13-15th, Downtown Greenville hosted their 36th annual fall festival. With over 40 restaurants featuring over 200 menu items and free entertainment on seven different stages, children, teens, and adults all came together for fun-filled evenings.
The event attracted 150,000 to 200,000 people from across the upstate, as it usually does each year. The weekend presents an opportunity for local vendors to sell independent crafts and local restaurants to offer samples of their dishes. Restaurants were prepared with burgers, southern staples, and gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Hayden Shakk, chef at Soby’s, a gourmet, Southern food establishment, said, “Sharing my passion with thousands of festival-goers was an incredible experience.” The festival food has been so delicious, it’s been ranked in Travel & Leisure’s, “12 of the Best Food Festivals Happening This Fall.”
The music this year included more than 70 bands playing across Downtown Greenville. Some local highlights were Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues, Kylie Odetta, Deads 27s, TJ Lazer and more. Visitors were able to enjoy a local concert at no cost.
This weekend may be over, but Fall for Greenville is an annual event that always promises a memorable time for family and friends. Be sure to check it out next year.
