George H.W. Bush Funeral
41st U.S. president, George H.W. Bush, passed away on November 30th, 2018. Bush served as a Navy Pilot in his youth, flew 58 combat missions in World War II and afterwards attended Yale University. He spent years as a businessman and governor of Texas prior to his presidency. He served two terms as a Representative to Congress from Texas. During his time as President, Bush led a successful mission against Saddam Hussein and initiated the Iraq war. He spent his post-presidential years working on Hurricane- and Tsunami-relief projects run by his son.
Bush is to be buried beside his wife Barbara and daughter Robin in the grounds of the Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station Texas. Barbara died in April 2018, and Robin died as a child due to complications with leukemia.
Bush’s casket was carried by the Bush 4141, which arrived on Texas on Thursday December 6th. The funeral took place at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston Texas.
Around 1,000 mourners were in attendance of the funeral.
