Moe’s Southwest Grill and Chipotle Mexican Grill are the two most popular Mexican restaurants. Students have had an ongoing debate over which of the two are better.

I am one of the customers who think Moe’s is the better restaurant, as they have a greet each customer who comes with “Welcome to Moe’s!”  When you enter Moe’s, you just can’t get enough of their great smelling food and vibrant color-themed walls. Their food is also very reasonably priced; you can get a ‘The Funk Meister’ taco that includes chicken, tofu, or even ground beef for just $3.00. To make it a meal, you can add a drink for $1.80, a side of their queso for $1.25, and your whole meal comes out to around six or so dollars. Of course, you do sometimes get less than what you’ve paid for. I think as long as the food is great and it hits the spot, the price is reasonable.

Chipotle, on the other hand, used to be superior to Moe’s until they had an E. coli breakout in 2105. Chipotle has since tried to bring their way up the grid, focusing on quality over quantity. Chipotle is a good chain restaurant, but their prices are too high. For a chicken taco it costs $2.47, and for a meal, you can add a drink for $1.85 and chips and guacamole for $3.35. Just for those three things, it costs seven or so dollars, a whole dollar more than Moe’s for just a plain chicken taco.

If you’re ever having a craving for Mexican food, you should most definitely go to Moe’s! They’re the better of the two restaurants for a good price and great quality food.
