The Future is Now in Destiny 2
Destiny 2, the sequel to the award-winning game Destiny, was released on Sept. 5, 2017. The original Destiny, out in 2014, was a first-person shooter game based off of a future version of our universe. Destiny 2 is about the downfall of our recovered economy in the future, playing off the theme of the original game.
Coming out three years after the original, Bungie has made noticeable improvements to their graphics. In Destiny 2, the player decides the quality of the game in the settings. Although Destiny 2 has no capped frame-rate, the player can choose to lock it at 30 or 60 fps (frames per second). If the player does not choose to change the graphics, the game will run at whatever the gaming unit can support.
The company also improved the gameplay of the series. Several Destiny players mentioned Destiny 2 has a better story line, as well as better multi-player modes. Nasseem Khalil, a Gamestop employee in TR, says that the story line is easy to follow and so, “The plot of Destiny 2 far exceeds the original game.”
Overall, Destiny 2 impressed many of the players in the gaming world and is available for $54.99. Destiny 2 is rated T for teen by ESRB for blood, language, and violence.
