Classic animation movies to become live-action films

Over the past 24 years, Disney has come out with 11 live-action versions of old classics from 101 Dalmations to Alice Through the Looking Glass. The team at Disney plans to release 16 new live-action movies within the next decade. On August 3rd, Christopher Robin was brought to the big-screen, bringing much deserved attention to the inspirational and heartwarming story of the young boy many Americans grew up with.

Disney has a magical experience in store for the Mouse House fans. If you loved the live-action remakes of old-classics like The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast you’re in for years of entertainment.  2019 will bring three more movies to the theatre: Dumbo, Aladdin, and The Lion King. After fans got word of the new live-action films, concerns rose about the use of real animals on camera. However, Disney will not be using real elephants in Dumbo, and any use of living animals on-screen will result in immediate donation to conservation efforts. In 2020, at least two movies will be released, Mulan and Maleficent 2. Disney has announced the plans to release eleven more movies in the coming years- release dates have yet be published.
