Homecoming week 2018-19 has started with a bang. Monday’s theme was ‘Incredibles vs. Villains’, Tuesday’s was ‘Nemo vs. Scuba Divers ‘, the theme for Wednesday was ‘Monsters Inc. vs. Humans ‘, and Thursday’s was ‘Toy Story vs. Kids.’ Friday’s theme is ‘Homecoming shirts or camo’.  All five clues (shown below) for the location of the spirit rock have been released, and it was revealed during Friday’s pep rally that the seniors were the first to discover it’s location. Seniors also won the spirit stick and float building competition.

Clue One:

Hello dear friends

Its HOCO time again, with some Pixar fun

so let’s all begin!

Try not to forget me, be ye blue, green, or hairy.

You’ll never find me with a cape. Infinity is too scary!

Clue Two:

Come find me now, I’m inside or out.

Come down to see me, you’ll find me no doubt!

I’ll lie under here, that’s where I should be.

In my protective shell, come set me free!

Clue Three: 

I’m very hard to see,

All covered and hidden.

You’ll have to try hard,

Hurry! Hurry! You’re bidden!

The trails are close,

Where the horses run free.

The corral over there,

Still you would not see me!

Clue Four: 

In danger I am,

From the elements that be.

In my blue home,

Only the cops protect me.

So come for a visit,

Look out both ways.

I sit with my friends,

Shady most days!

Clue Five: 

I rest in the front.

Just walk up the hill.

Come stand in the shade.

Of dirt I’ve my fill!

My tall friends stand round,

I hide at one’s feet.

Buried so gently,

The ground for my seat.

So crawl all about,

Just get me, I’m here!

Your class will be honored,

To have me this year!

Float building began Sunday and the parade took place at 6 p.m. in Travelers Rest, but the winner of the float building competition has not been named.
