Predicting Clemson and Carolina’s Seasons

Predicting+Clemson+and+Carolina%E2%80%99s+Seasons

Clemson has started its season 2-2 with losses to #17 Duke and #5 Florida State, as well as wins over Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic. They have some tough games coming up very soon, including traveling down to #18 Miami very soon. Clemson’s offense struggled with turnovers through the first 4 games, but it looked absolutely electric against FAU and FSU. With that being said, here are my predictions for every remaining regular season Clemson game:

@Syracuse: Win, 3-2 (1-2)

The Tigers historically struggle @Syracuse, but it will be a big win for the Tigers.

Vs Wake Forest: Win, 4-2 (2-2)

A decisive win over the Demon Deacons.

@ #18 Miami: Win, 5-2 (3-2)

A very close, hard fought game but the Tigers come out on top thanks to a big day from the running backs.

@NC State: Win, 6-2 (4-2)

A close game in the beginning, but the Tigers pull away late.

Vs #11 Notre Dame: Loss, 6-3 (4-2)

A close game to the end, but Notre Dames amazing defense gets a big push on the Tigers offensive line all night, throwing off the Tigers rhythm, and resulting in a loss

Vs Georgia Tech: Win, 7-3 (5-2)

Absolute blowout, very decisive win.

Vs #15 North Carolina: Win 8-3 (6-2)

Pretty decisive win over what should be a ranked opponent at this point, thanks to a great showing from QB Cade Klubnik

@South Carolina: Win 9-3 (6-2)

A hard fought game that goes back and forth between the Tigers and the Gamecocks, but the Tigers avenge their broken home win streak by beating the Gamecocks in Williams-Brice.

South Carolina –

South Carolina has started 2-2 with losses to #17 North Carolina and #1 Georgia and wins against Furman and Mississippi State. South Carolina still has a couple tough games on their schedule like #21 Tennessee, #22 Florida, and of course- Clemson. South Carolina has shown to be inconsistent under HC Shane Beamer, their offense has struggled establishing the run and their offensive line has been pitiful, however QB Spencer Rattler and his wide receivers have shown that they are elite. With that being said, here are my predictions for every remaining regular season South Carolina game:

@ #21 Tennessee: Loss, 2-3 (1-2)

A close game, but the Vols get revenge for kicking them out of the playoffs last year.

Vs #22 Florida: Win, 3-3 (2-2)

The Gators have struggled on the road the past couple seasons, so the Gamecocks get it done at home, a sizable win over a ranked team.

@Missouri: Loss, 3-4 (2-3)

Faurot Field is too much for the Gamecocks, Missouri beats them soundly.

@Texas A&M: Win, 4-4 (3-3)

Aggies HC Jimbo Fisher has struggled the past couple years despite the immense levels of talent on his roster, the Gamecocks walk into Kyle Field and put on a show.

Vs Jacksonville State: Win, 5-4 (3-3)

This is a cupcake game, easy and decisive win for the Gamecocks.

Vs Vanderbilt: Win, 6-4 (4-3)

Decisive win for the Gamecocks at home.

Vs Kentucky: Win, 7-4 (5-3)

This will be South Carolina’s  “it” game, Kentucky is a good team, but the Gamecocks will get a nice win.

Vs Clemson: Loss, 7-5 (5-3)

QB Spencer Rattler is throttled by the Tigers defensive line and the secondary holds up in coverage against the Gamecocks elite wideouts. It’s a hard fought game, but Spencer Rattler can’t do everything, and the Tigers beat the Gamecocks at home.
