When growing up, students spend 12+ years in a classroom and as a result, they learn many things. Students learn their way around the system, but the schoolwork can still cause an abundance of stress. Not to worry, here are some proven school hacks to help every scholar along.

Sleepy in class?  Sometimes while sitting in class something comes over a student and they just can’t beat it. An hour and a half later they have drool running down their chin and they wake themselves up snoring. Here are some great undercover hacks to keep everyone awake on the sleepiest days:

  • Even after a long night’s rest a learner can feel sleepy; this may be a result of dehydration. Drink plenty of water; most teachers will let water be kept in class.
  • If someone recently has pulled an all-nighter on a procrastinated paper, they need to try holding their breath for as long as they can. When they breathe out their heart rate will rise and no longer feel drowsy.

Struggling in English class?  To procrastinate or not to procrastinate is the question everyone struggles with. To help along with Hamlet and Jay Gatsby, here are the best hacks to give the best results:

  • When finishing an essay, copy, and paste, and then listen to it on Google translate. This will make it easier to pick out mistakes.
  • When writing a paper, pick an infuriating topic; the writer will be able to rant for hours and the pages will fly by.
  • When Word says “revise a fragment,” it means to add a semicolon somewhere in the sentence.
  • Procrastinating? When reading, read the first and last paragraphs of the assignment and skim through the middle, it is just as effective as reading the whole thing.

The World Wide Web was created in 1990, and since then the world has the most accessible websites available.  The internet is a great place for research and entertaining finds. Frequently, searching for the best website is a struggle. Here are some great sites for studying and good fun:

  • Wordhippo.com – a great website for the perfect word when a learner can only think of a phrase to describe it.
  • Donothingfor2minutes.com – When feeling really stressed this website challenges to sit and do nothing for two minutes, you will immediately feel relaxed.
  • Freerice.com – By answering simple questions and playing games, this website gives rice to third-world countries.
  • QUIZLET– This website is the perfect place to go for the most stressful assignments.
  • Scholargoogle.com– Instead of searching google.com, these results will only have academic reliable websites available.

So now, as school is in full swing, let the stresses fall away. Here are the hacks to making life much simpler and a school day less demanding.
