NHS Holds Annual Candy Drive
The Travelers Rest National Honor Society is holding their annual candy drive this week. The drive started on Monday, October 1st, and will continue until Friday, October 5th. All candy that is brought in will be used at the fall festival on October 30th from 5pm-7pm in the commons. The event is open to all students in sixth grade or below.
Last year, the students of TRHS brought in over 800 pounds of candy. This year, The National Honor Society vice president, Caitlyn Howard, says the club hopes to raise at least 1,000 pounds of candy. Students are strongly encouraged to bring candy to the teacher of their choice, and the class who brings in the most candy will win an ice cream party for all their classes, and the top three teachers will win one of three incentives.
