The 2017-2018 school years marks the establishment of the Art Honors club, where students can join together and express themselves through their creativity.

The club is led by Ms. White, the TRHS art teacher. When asked about the plans of the club, White asserted, “We have an idea for a holiday makers workshop, where we can invite other students and faculty to create crafts like cards, ornaments, etc.” Also, they partnered with Beta club in helping Meals on Wheels by designing place mats for the holiday meal.

The primary goal of the club is to eventually join the National Honors Organization. Although they have a solid group of 20 members, they could use more students to help continue their vision.

Junior Abi Payne is an aspiring artist and active club member. Payne states, “The Art club is an excellent opportunity for people to show their skills.” She also added, “The greatest aspect of being a part of the club is seeing the different styles of others and blending them.”

TRHS has produced yet another way for students to display ingenuity, talents, and abilities. Hopefully we see the growth of this club as they work towards a colorful future.
