Recently Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has been receiving backlash through the media and has even been suspended from social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter. Kanye has supposedly made antisemitic comments on social media platforms and many of his posts have gotten taken down due to hate speech. Adidas even severed ties with him, discontinuing the influential shoe brand “Yeezy” that many adore. Kanye’s mental health has been a large area of concern for the past few years which could have influenced his recent actions. Kanye had also recently gotten divorced from his wife of six years, Kim Kardashian, causing his impulsive behavior to become more uncensored. 

Kanye still has not apologized for his antisemitic comments but he does not want to associate with any hate groups either. Kanye’s impulsive comments have gotten him into greater trouble recently as well. He claimed to know what George Floyd felt like with a knee on his neck after all the backlash he has been getting recently. Although Kanye West has made comments that are outrageous to some, Ye claimed “I am demanding that everyone walk in love.”
